To some extent, Skifta worked as described. I set it up quickly by choosing my iPhone as a content source and started sending photos to my nearest TV. They appeared right away and I was able to easily display a slideshow. Unfortunately, Skifta didn’t seem to pick up on any of my iPhone’s video or music content. I’m not sure why it can access only my photos, but hopefully this is just a bug in the first version. Since I have a Plex server elsewhere on the network, I was able to use Skifta to send media from it to my television as well. Despite a few glitches, it managed to stream the video without any major issues.

While this release seems a bit buggy, when the bugs disappear it should be a pretty solid DLNA streaming option for your iDevice.
